Credit Card Blocked Countries
Please contact Visa, by calling the number on the back of your card if you plan to travel overseas and use your Charter Oak Federal Credit Union Visa credit card. In an effort to help you protect your credit cards, Charter Oak Federal Credit Union has compiled a list of “Safety Tips”.
In compliance with the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) regulations, your Visa Credit Card cannot be used in the following countries/regions:
- Balkans/Bulgaria/Serbia
- Burma/Myanmar
- Belarus
- Core d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast)
- Cuba
- Democratic Republic of the Congo
- Iran
- Iraq
- Lebanon
- Liberia
- Libya
- North Korea
- Somalia
- Sudan
- Syria
- Zimbabwe
