Riverfront Children's Learning Center
Charter Oak Federal Credit Union spent the morning at Eastern Point Beach on May 15th to help the Riverfront Children's Learning Center with their annual Family Fun Run and Road Race. Setting up tents and signs, as well as serving up snacks and hot chowder (courtesy of Olde Tymes Restaurant in Norwich), Charter Oak volunteers were running all over the place in support of a great cause!
Happy to help, Charter Oak was led by Credit Union employee and regular Riverfront Children's Center volunteer Jim Zamzes, who has helped out at the run every year with his wife Cheryl. A non-profit NAEYC and State Licensed child care program that provides full-time, quality care for children ages 3 months through 12 years, the Riverfront Children's Center is located on Thames Street in Groton.

Charter Oak's Community Relations Coordinator Kim Bartlett, Jim Zamzes, Lori Carofano, Aili Ero and Collin Carofano prepare to serve up chowder to runners following the event!
