Madonna Place, Inc. Receives $3,000 Grant
from Charter Oak’s Community Giving Program

Madona Place 2011

Madonna Place, Inc.’s Board of Directors, which includes Charter Oak’s Chief Operating Officer, Jeanne Mikula (Madonna Place Board Treasurer), celebrates Charter Oak’s $3,000 Grant!

Charter Oak Federal Credit Union recently awarded the Madonna Place a $3,000 Community Giving Grant in support of its “Early Childhood Parents in Partnership Program.” Designed to ensure the health, growth and development of at-risk children, the program also seeks to prevent child abuse and neglect. Offered to families throughout New London County in home-based settings, the program is strength-based, family-driven and child focused in order to engage partnering families who are striving to become better parents and guardians.

Based in Norwich, the Madonna Place offers a variety of services and programs aimed at helping families in need. From parenting classes, nutrition education and crisis intervention, the Madonna Place also offers emergency supplies like clothing and food.
