DR. MEL AND CHARTER OAK SHINE AT MITCHELL'S EARTH DAY EVENT!

Charter Oak Federal Credit Union, a proud sponsor of Mitchell College's annual Earth Day Celebration, was on hand for this year's April 22nd event to greet students, faculty and area residents as they packed the student center to hear Connecticut's favorite weather man, Dr. Mel Goldstein discuss and sign his latest literary work, Dr. Mel's Connecticut Climate Book. The event also featured a panel on biodiversity and an exhibit of student posters highlighting the Mitchell Beach Restoration Project.

Prior to his presentation, Dr. Mel was introduced by Charter Oak CEO Brian Orenstein, who presented the meteorologist with his very own umbrella! Featuring the Credit Union's bright orange logo, the umbrella was the perfect gift considering a slue of rain showers settled in Southeastern CT following the event!
