CHARTER OAK HONORS VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers Recognized at Credit Union's Quarterly Meeting
Groton, CT-February 22, 2010-Charter Oak Federal Credit Union recently honored 33 employees at its February 2nd Quarterly Meeting held at the Groton Motor Inn. Recognizing staff members from various departments, the Credit Union applauded employees for their outstanding volunteer efforts during the fourth quarter. From participating in holiday parades to visiting classrooms to teach the basics of personal finance, Charter Oak employees are encouraged to get involved in their local communities in order to give back to those in need.
Also honored was employee Deniese Graves, who volunteers regularly for the Credit Union's Community Involvement Program. Donating over 20 hours of her time throughout the holiday season, Graves helped the Credit Union increase volunteer participation by 44% from October thru December 2009.
