TO OPEN NEW BRANCH AT ELECTRIC BOAT
New Branch Will Be Charter Oak’s 12th Office
Charter Oak Federal Credit Union is getting back to its roots. Founded in 1939 as the Groton Shipbuilders’ Federal Credit Union, Charter Oak FCU will be opening a branch location at the General Dynamics Electric Boat New London site on December 9, 2011. The new branch will specifically serve employees of Electric Boat and will not be accessible to the general public.
Designed to make banking with the Credit Union more convenient for Charter Oak’s Electric Boat members, this new full-service office will be located just across from the buildings’ cafeteria. An ATM is already functioning at that location.
