CELEBRATING DISTINGUISHED AWARDS AT 71ST ANNUAL MEETING!
Charter Oak Federal Credit Union was presented with several distinguished awards at the 71st Annual Meeting held at the Groton Inn & Suites on Thursday, April 22nd. From awards honoring 25 years of service in the credit union industry to national marketing awards complementing Charter Oak's new, state-of-the-art website, there were many reasons to celebrate this year.
Employees Deb Berardi, Namie Tedford, Patricia Ponte, Waltnita Brown were each presented the Quarter Century Award for their 25 years of service in the credit union industry. Also honored, was Charter Oak's Marketing Department for their outstanding work developing and implementing the Credit Union's new website, which was named a Diamond Award Winner for "Best Website Marketing" in the $500 million to $1 billion category by Credit Union National Association's Marketing and Business Development Council. Rounding out the slue of awards, was the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award, presented to CEO Brian Orenstein for the Credit Union's financial literacy efforts.
That evening, Charter Oak gave out awards as well - presenting $1,000 in cash prizes to meeting attendees and $14,000 in scholarships to deserving high school students.
