Fairview Oddfellows Home

Charter Oak’s Chicago Avenue Branch Manager Darlene Cutler, Charter Oak’s Community Relations Coordinator Kim Bartlett and Fairview Oddfellow’s Home Development Director David Brown pose with the big check.

CHARTER OAK DONATES $1,000 TO FAIRVIEW ODDFELLOWS HOME FOR NEW RESIDENT BATHING TUB

Charter Oak Federal Credit Union’s Community Giving Program recently awarded the Fairview Oddfellows Home of Connecticut (located in Groton, CT), with a $1,000 grant to aid in the purchase of new resident bathing tubs. Better equipped to provide residents with comfortable bathing experiences, the new tubs will enhance the quality of life at the home by replacing current ones which are not user-friendly and are in need of constant repair.

One of only 35 nursing homes in the U.S. that hold a five-star ranking in all four rating categories monitored by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Fairview Oddfellows home cares for 120 residents, provides an independent living facility featuring 20 apartments for seniors 55 and older and even operates a small café which is open to the public. The only non-profit nursing care facility in Southeastern CT, the home strives to provide the best in quality eldercare.
