Charter Oak Rewards Members with Personal Shredders

Groton, CT-May 25, 2009-Charter Oak Federal Credit Union held a free, community Shred Day this past weekend at three of their branches. The Credit Union's Dayville, Norwich and Long Hill Road (Groton) branches each participated from 9:30am-Noon. Recycling the shredded paper from the event helped save 81 trees from being harvested.
Adding to the day's festivities, Charter Oak collected canned food for local food banks, and also held a drawing for free personal shredders donated by New London's J. Solomon Inc. The three lucky winners were Gideon Matson of Brooklyn, CT, Wimarie Francesehi of Colchester, as well as Ruthie Beasley of Mystic.
