Charter Oak Walks
To Fight Homelessness

Credit Union Sponsored New London's Walk for the Homeless on April 25th

Groton, CT-April 30, 2009-Charter Oak Federal Credit Union staff members were in New London on Saturday, April 25th to participate in the Second Annual Walk for the Homeless. Organized by CT College students and the New London Homeless Hospitality Center, the event drew over 100 participants who gathered to listen to musical performances and to walk a three mile route past various New London organizations that provide services to the homeless.

Held to raise awareness regarding the issue of homelessness in New London county, the event was sponsored by Charter Oak Federal Credit Union's Community Giving Program.                          

Charter Oak Federal Credit Union is a cooperative financial institution owned by its members.  Membership is open to persons who live, work, worship, attend school, or volunteer in, and businesses and other legal entities located in New London County and Windham County, CT.  Membership also extends to immediate family or household members.
