Featuring Environmental Fun and Learning for Children
Groton, CT-July12, 2010 –Charter Oak Federal Credit Union has signed on as a Big Toot Sponsor of New London’s fifth annual Fish Tales, Tugs and Sails event. Taking place on Saturday, July 24th, this free, nautically themed children’s festival takes place along the City’s Waterfront Park from 11am – 5pm.
Celebrating children’s literature and the environment, the event Fish Tales, Tugs & Sails features a wide variety of children’s authors, boats and sailing vessels, as well as environmentally themed activities and professional performances for children. Throughout the day, children can explore a host of free activities, including touch tanks and sea critters with Project Oceanology and hands-on discovery activities with dozens of local non-profit organizations, including Charter Oak Federal Credit Union.
