ANNOUNCES STAFF PROMOTIONS
Charter Oak’s Marketing and IT Managers Receive Promotions
Groton, CT-June 15, 2010 – Charter Oak Federal Credit Union has announced the promotions of Joseph Childress to Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, as well as Laurie Bouley Cormier to Vice President and Director of Marketing.
Childress, a graduate of Lincoln, Nebraska’s Bellevue University, joined Charter Oak in February 2004 as an IT Team Leader. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Information Technology in August 2005 and to Vice President of Information Technology in November 2007. According to CEO Brian Orenstein, Childress “will add significant knowledge and analytical skills to the Credit Union’s senior staff team.”
Cormier, a graduate of the University of Connecticut, joined Charter Oak in 2005 as a Marketing Product Development Manager and was promoted to Assistant Vice President in June 2007. Serving as the project manager for the Credit Union’s successful rebranding efforts in 2009, Cormier will continue to be responsible for Charter Oak’s marketing and public relations, as well as the Community Giving Program.
