CHARTER OAK EMPLOYEES KEEP ON GIVING
Employee-Funded Community Outreach Program Has Distributed Over $225k
Groton, CT-July 15, 2010-Distributing over $225,000 since 1995, Charter Oak’s employee-funded Community Outreach Program continues to help individuals and organizations throughout New London and Windham Counties. Collecting $3 from employees who dress casually on Fridays, the Program meets regularly to determine funding recipients and identify needs in the community.
The Community Outreach Committee recently announced upcoming funding recipients, which include Camp Opportunities, the Edwin Rivera Children’s Fund, the American Cancer Society, Covenant Soup Kitchen, the New London County 4-H Foundation, the American Heart Association, M.A.D.D and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
