CHARTER OAK EMPLOYEES HONORED FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE
Charter Oak Awards Cathie Forier Volunteer of the Quarter Award
Groton, CT-November 3, 2009-At their recent quarterly meeting, Charter Oak Federal Credit Union honored 26 employees for their outstanding community service efforts while participating in the Credit Union's Community Involvement Program. Volunteering over 200 hours in the third quarter alone, employees gave their time at various community events ranging from parades and festivals, to walks and fundraisers in order to help those in need.
Also recognized at the meeting was employee Cathie Forier, who led Charter Oak's community service efforts by donating over 30 hours of her time to attend events on behalf of the Credit Union. In addition to spearheading Charter Oak's participation in the American Heart Association's Heart Walk this past October, Forier also served as chair for the Credit Union's Community Outreach Program.
