CHARTER OAK EMPLOYEES COLLECT BOOTS FOR TVCCA
Charter Oak Employees Collect 52 Pairs of Boots for Local Charity
Groton, CT-December 15, 2009-Charter Oak employees kicked the season of giving into high gear this November by collecting 52 pairs of boots for the Santa Anonymous Winter Boot Project sponsored by TVCCA (Thames Valley Council for Community Action, Inc.) and RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program).
The Boot Project, which collects hundreds of pairs of wrapped boots annually for low-income children in Eastern Connecticut, asked Charter Oak employees for help in collection and packaging efforts. Leading employee donations was Charter Oak's Dayville staff, which donated 21 pairs of boots on behalf of the Credit Union.
