CHARTER OAK ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH WOMEN'S CENTER OF SOUTHEASTERN CT
Charter Oak Pledges Funding in Excess of $30,000 for Women's Shelter
Groton, CT-November 13, 2009-Charter Oak Federal Credit Union announced Friday that they have chosen to partner with the Women's Center of Southeastern CT by pledging over $30,000 in funding. "We are excited about helping a great cause. We look forward to helping the Women's Center in the future," said Charter Oak CEO Brian Orenstein.
Monetary support will be made regularly to the organization over the next several years. The Center provides rape and domestic violence counseling to abused women and children. The Women's Center also provides community education and prevention programs.
Committed to giving back to the community and improving the lives of families and individuals living and working in New London and Windham counties, Charter Oak Federal Credit Union has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to various programs and non-profit organizations throughout the region.
