Charter Oak Member Gets Surprised on her Birthday
Groton, CT-December 15, 2008-Charter Oak Federal Credit Union's Norwich manager Namie Tedford was delighted to notify the latest winner of the her branch's cash giveaway promotion. The winner of the final $500 cash drawing was Charter Oak member Violet Colella -who just happened to be celebrating her 83rd birthday that very same day. Born in 1925 and living on a fixed income, the extra cash will come in handy this winter for Colella.
Rewarding members who bank in the new Norwich branch located at One Connecticut Avenue, Charter Oak Federal Credit Union has presented three Quick Cash gifts of $500 each since opening the new office in mid-November. In addition to Colella; Awolana Osunniyi and Sarah Evans were also selected from the hundreds of entry forms that have been collected in the lobby.
